Make sure to not complete daily quests during this weekend Posted: 23 Mar 2018 01:38 PM PDT Hello fellow redditers! As most of your already know, starting next Monday (March 26th) the Year of the Raven special event begins. During this period one of the main features is the added bonus of one pack for each daily quest completion. So long story short, make sure you have 2 quests left in your quest log when Monday begins. Then you will get 3 active daily quests for the first day of the event, granting you two additional packs for the duration of the event. I hope this reminder was useful for you and may the pack gods be with you all :) EDIT: I just checked the information we have already and it turns out the actual event starts at March 26 at 11:59 pm PDT, which is almost midnight. In other words the free packs start coming on Tuesday, March 27th. So dont rush and complete all 3 quests on Monday, only finish one of them to be able to take new quest on Tuesday and start getting packs for your dailies afterwards. [link] [comments]

Posted: 23 Mar 2018 06:36 PM PDT Here is my previous post and it was deleted since the title is misleading and included bot name (I removed name of that bot program from the content)
/u/bbrode /u/mdonais I am a top wild player in CN HS. These day, I've seem several bots who hit top 100 in wild. Those bots usually run Aggro Pally, but actually they are able to play almost all aggro decks and some mid-range deck like Nagalock. Those bots are able to play standard format and even Arena. I've reported this to NetEase (Blizzard agent in CN) and exposed this to several forums in CN. But I received only autoreply from NetEase and those accounts are still not banned. Conversely, bot sellers start photoshoping fake "bot hit high rank" screenshots(use others' screenshot and user name) and use them as ads... Really think Blizzard should take it seriouly. Posted: 23 Mar 2018 09:04 AM PDT This just happened in a tavern brawl game. It had gone on for a very long time back and forth, and I was just barely edging out my opponent, Eggsandcheese (amazing name by the way). We were trading Lyra the Sunshard back and forth with mind controls, psychic screams, and other crazy shenanigans. There was crazy RNG on both sides of the field, undoubtedly. As the cards in our hand began to run low, it seemed as if I was gaining an advantage. However, something odd happened when I played my Lightspawn. He was hiding in the bottom left corner of my screen! I had seen this bug before, but never had experienced it. Next turn when I played another minion, the same thing happened. (Note that after attacking, my Lightspawn was now directly on top of Eggsandcheese.) It was at this point Eggsandcheese had forfeited the game, but instead of hitting the concede button, he opted for an honorable death by attacking into my lightspawn, setting up lethal for me. This left him with 8 health. In order to kill him, I had to heal my lightspawn with my hero power and then attack both of my minions into Eggsandcheese for the win. However, because my lightspawn was sitting on Eggsandcheese's face, when I tried to heal my lightspawn, it inevitably healed Eggsandcheese instead. I was devastated. This is not the honorable way. My opponent attempted to grant me an honorable victory, and because of unwelcome and unforeseen circumstances, I ended up BMing Eggsandcheese. After adding Eggsandcheese post-game to explain my actions, I was met with no response. Perhaps he rightfully thought I was simply trying to BM more or flame him, but this is absolutely not the case. I'm sorry Eggsandcheese, please forgive me, and may God have mercy on my soul. [link] [comments]

All Warcraft III Units and Characters in Hearthstone Posted: 23 Mar 2018 12:26 PM PDT Hello, Someone suggested I make this its own post. I see potential for karma farming on "content" I've already made (which just includes a couple hours of reading from Wowpedia and typing it up). This is a compilation of all units in Warcraft III and how they may be reflected by collectable cards (or playable heroes) in Hearthstone! Named Characters in WCIII that we have: Cenarius Uther the Lightbringer Arthas Menethil (and his alter ego, the Lich King) Jaina Proudmoore Rexxar Illidan Stormrage Tyrande Whisperwind Maiev Shadowsong Malfurion Stormrage Vol'jin Cairne Bloodhoof Archmage Antonidas Medivh Kel'Thuzad Thrall Grommash Hellscream Mal'Ganis Sylvanas Windrunner Anub'arak Gul'dan Gazlowe Characters Missing from WCIII: Archimonde the Defiler, left hand of Sargeras, the lord of the Burning Legion. Kil'jaeden the Deceiver, the one who turned the orcs against the Draenei on Draenor, and the right hand man of Sargeras. Grand Marshal Garithos, the highest ranking survivor of the human nation of Lordaeron who tried to claw back the shattered pieces together (also known as a giant douche to blood elves and other non-humans). Kael'Thas Sunstrider, the prince of the ravaged blood elven people and Quel'Thalas. King Terenas (if he could even be a card) Ner'zhul (pre-Arthas melding) Lady Vashj, the Naga who lent aid to the beleaguered blood elves, as well as the one allied with Illidan Stormrage. Detheroc Varimathras, who eventually was subjugated to Sylvanas and tried to lead a coup against her during the Wrath of the Lich King expansion. Balnazzar (all three of these dreadlords watching over the Legion's holdings in the Eastern Kingdoms) Tichondrius, leader of the nathrezim (dreadlords) Naisha, lieutenant to Maiev Shadowsong. Muradin Bronzebeard Falric and Marwyn, Falric being "The Captain" in WCIII and Marwyn being a later-named Captain under Arthas's leadership as well. Gavinrad the Dire Chen Stormstout Searinox Jailor Kassan, one of Garithos' subordinates who reluctantly saw to the imprisonment of the blood elves in Dalaran. Daelin Proudmoore, Grand Admiral of Kul Tiras and Jaina's father. Dagren the Orcslayer Halahk the Lifebringer Magroth the Defender Jennalla Deemspring Drak'thul Gar'Thok Jubei'Thos Drek'Thar Rokhan Samuro Califax, who watched over Illidan in his prison. Shandris Feathermoon, surrogate daughter to Malfurion Stormrage and Tyrande Whisperwind. Akama We have covered a lot of characters already, including a majority of the most prominent ones. Many of the characters listed that haven't been covered aren't particularly characteristic. Falric and Marwyn are just foot soldiers turned death knights. Naisha is just a fancy sentinel. Detheroc, Varimathras, Balnazzar and Tichondrius are all just dreadlords. Gavinrad the Dire, Magroth the Defender, Dagren the Orcslayer and Halahk the Lifebringer are just human paladins, and we've already got on hand Tirion Fordring, Bolvar Fordragon, Arthas Menethil and Uther the Lightbringer. Adding a dwarf "Paladin" (Wickerflame Burnbristle) and a blood elven Paladin (Lady Liadrin) was a better call for paladin diversity, I'd say. Although it would be cool to add Chen Stormstout, Ner'zhul (especially before becoming the Lich King), Kael'Thas Sunstrider and Muradin Bronzebeard. Archimonde and Kil'jaeden would also be fantastic additions. And everyone's favourite blind shaman. Anyway! A lot of unit names are very generic in Warcraft III - as they should be. But does that bode well when trying to design a card for them? Orc Grunt? Lacks character, and isn't particularly creative. I mean, arguably you could have replaced River Crocolisk with Orc Grunt... but there's no real merit to "Orc Grunt." Similar for "peon". This said, we have Frostwolf Grunt as a characterisation of Grunt. As for the orcish Raider -- we have Wolfrider, which is essentially the same thing. So, here we go for every unit in the game (including Heroes and nearly all summonable units): Warcraft III Units and their Hearthstone orthologs: Humans: Peasant - nothing interesting here, but maybe Pumpkin Peasant (a human-worgen peasant) is a good mirror. Footman - nothing interesting here once again, but Goldshire Footman is exactly that, a Footman. Knight - characterised by Stormwind Knight. Rifleman - Ironforge Rifleman, of course! Mortar Team - okay, this one is a toughie. What about our one-man mortar team of Wickerflame Burnbristle? Dude looks just born to be a siege weapon. This, and Flare is reflected as a Hunter spell in Hearthstone. Gyrocopter and Flying Machine - Flying Machine? Gryphon Rider - this one hasn't been particularly well addressed yet, as far as I know! There seems to be a decent lack of gryphons in Hearthstone, now that I think about it. Priest - there is no high elven priest card in Hearthstone to my knowledge. But you do have Young Priestess and Priestess of Elune for night elven ones, and Temple Enforcer or Northshire Clerics for human ones. Both Heal and Inner Fire are in the game. Heal is the Priest-Upgraded Hero Power, and Inner Fire is the combo enabler that some people hate! Sorceress - Kirin Tor Mage? Female elven magic user of Dalaran. It checks out. Also has Polymorph as a spell in Hearthstone. Siege Engine - Siege Engine. Yep, it's a card. Goblins vs Gnomes! Spell Breaker - Spellbreaker, of course! Dragonhawk Rider - Dragonhawk Rider... I guess? I mean, Dragonhawk Rider is elven in WCIII, but you have a goblin riding it in Hearthstone. At least that reflects the change in blood elven allegiance after the previously mentioned-Garithos lost their loyalty. Militia - No mirror here that I can think of, although Phantom Militia could be a take on it. Water Elemental - Water Elemental. Phoenix - the closest we have to this is Pyros, but if they introduce Kael'Thas then Al'ar could be a token as well. Fire Plume Phoenix is a non-named example as well, thanks /u/balencedrago. Paladin - We have plenty of mirrors for this. From Argent Squires to Silver Hand Knights and Scarlet Crusaders. Nevermind reflective "Heroes" in Hearthstone that are human paladins: Tirion Fordring, Bolvar Fordragon, Eadric the Pure and (presumably) Justicar Trueheart. Archmage - Archmage Antonidas, Medivh, the Guardian, Rhonin. None of them shown riding horses, though. Mountain King - we have Magni Bronzebeard, although he isn't a card. Muradin Bronzebeard would make a fine addition for this reason, in my opinion. Especially since dwarves are awesome. Blood Mage - we have Bloodmage Thalnos, but he's hardly the same as the Blood Mage depicted in WCIII. Kael'Thas as a Legendary card would make sense for this reason. Orcs: Peon - None really. Grunt - Frostwolf Grunt. Raider - Wolfrider. Tauren - Tauren Warrior, Bloodhoof Brave are good examples. Troll Headhunter - seems to be no real mirror. Troll Berserker - though WCIII Berserkers throw spears, there are several troll berserkers in Hearthstone: Amani Berserker, Gurubashi Berserker, Aberrant Berserker (not really reflective) and Frothing Berserker. Catapult and Demolisher - Demolisher. Windrider and Troll Batrider - no real mirrors here, unfortunately. Troll Witch Doctor - Voodoo Doctor and Wicked Witchdoctor are good mirrors. Shaman - Thrallmar Farseer, Earthen Ring Farseer are both orcish shaman. Also reflected by the "Bloodlust" spell. Spirit Walker - not directly mirrored by minions, but their spell Ancestral Spirit exists in Hearthstone. Spirit Wolf - summoned by Feral Spirit. Blademaster - Injured Blademaster. Far Seer - Thrallmar Farseer is Horde associated, Earthen Ring Farseer is still a farseer but more neutral. Tauren Chieftain - Cairne Bloodhoof and his son, Baine Bloodhoof fit the bill well. Plus, Elite Tauren Chieftain! Shadow Hunter - Vol'jin is the closest you'd get to this. Undead: Acolyte - Acolyte of Pain. Dark Cultist, despite the different name, is perhaps a much better comparison though. It has very similar voice lines, and Dark Cultist was a card featured in the Curse of Naxxramas card set. Suffice to say, Dark Cultist is very Cult of the Damned inspired. Ghoul - Ghoul tokens from Arrogant Crusader, Necrotic Geist, Vryghoul and Val'kyr Soulclaimer. Also Unstable Ghoul and Flesheating Ghoul. Ravaging Ghoul is a bit corrupted but also reflects the base model. Ghoul Infestor (from Ultimate Infestation) is another. Abomination - You know what? I'm just going to link SixGamers' Lore of the Cards video on Abominations and you can learn all about them. Warning: It's an hour long! Crypt Fiend - Crypt Lord? Eh, not really, they're different "classes" of nerubian. Nerub'ar Weblord? Nerubian tokens from Nerubian Egg and Beneath the Grounds? Gargoyle - Stoneskin Gargoyle. Meat Wagon - Meat Wagon! Obsidian Statue and Obsidian Destroyer - Obsidian Statue, of course! Necromancer - Grim Necromancer, probably! Banshee - Keening Banshee? Their Possession is also reflected by Sylvanas Windrunner's Deathrattle in Hearthstone. Anti-Magic Shell is also a Death Knight card that Arfus or The Lich King can provide! Shade - Shifting Shade and Shade of Naxxramas. Also Ancient Shade, although they're not really associated with the Scourge at all. Frost Wyrm - Sindragosa is a Frost Wyrm Infernal - Dread Infernal. Death Knight - The Lich King, the obvious death knight candidate. Basically all the Hero Cards, as well. Plus any and all of the Death Knight cards in Hearthstone. Dreadlord - Despicable Dreadlord, Mal'Ganis. Lich - Kel'Thuzad! Crypt Lord - Crypt Lord, and Anub'arak, the best Crypt Lord there is. Anub'Rekhan is also a boss in the Curse of Naxxramas card set -- the first set released for Hearthstone! Night Elves: Wisp - Wisp! Archer - Elven Archer. Huntress - Cloaked Huntress. Ballista and Glaive Thrower - no real Hearthstone mirror yet. Dryad - the upcoming Lunara, and the Laughing Sister card from Ysera. Druid of the Claw - Druid of the Claw. Mountain Giant - Mountain Giant! Hippogryph and Hippogryph Rider - Druid of the Talon - no mirror at this time. Faerie Dragon - Faerie Dragon. Chimaera - no mirror at this time. Treant - Force of Nature, Cenarius' Choose One option, Soul of the Forest. Owl Scout - no real mirror, but Ironbeak Owl is... an owl, I guess? Warden - Maiev Shadowsong, Fan of Knives, Shadow Strike. Keeper of the Grove - Keeper of the Grove. Hell, Force of Nature too. Priestess of the Moon - Tyrande, Starfall. Demon Hunter - Illidan Stormrage, and Evasion is a Rogue spell (Secret) in Hearthstone. Well there's a lot more time than I was expecting to spend gone. Anyhow, I think it's safe to say that a lot of characters -- and Warcraft III units -- have been covered in Hearthstone even if not 100% replicated. TL;DR: I have too much time on my hands.
